In support of that effort, we are assembling a talented internal Reporting and Analytics delivery capability to help execute on that strategy.
We are seeking an outstanding individual for a temporary (20 hour per week, not to exceed three months) Reporting and Analytics business analyst position. You must be willing to learn and embrace a strong understanding of business processes and how they are supported with SAP sourced solutions.
General Position Summary:
This temporary position will be an introduction to the Reporting and Analytics business analyst team within the Information Services department. You will provide support for the Reporting and Analytics team, including SAP business analysts and consultants. This position will contribute to the analysis, design, implementation and support of the Columbia reporting requirements across business processes (including but not limited to interaction with technical BI team for all business process areas). This is a temporary employment position with no travel requirements.
Participate in requirements gathering for new reporting requests;
Work with the functional and technical teams to define the right solution for the reporting requirements;
Contribute to the documentation of functional specifications and assist with business interviews;
SharePoint file organization, presentation, and creation of wiki pages;
Data Governance support tasks;
Adhere to documentation standards (e.g. change request forms, functional / technical specification documents, naming conventions, etc); and
Build efficient reporting library by ensuring redundant reports are not being built.
Participation on projects in various stages of progress, including production support.
Complex analysis, detailed design, and complex troubleshooting abilities, requiring a highly analytical mindset.
Expected to work with SAP team members as well as members of other functional and technical teams; designs and configuration will be reviewed and approved by the Reporting and Analytics Manager.
Moderately visible to the Columbia business community and to customers.
High School Diploma and currently enrolled at a local University. Our preference would be applicants who are working towards a Bachelor’s degree with an emphasis in Business, IT, Finance, Engineering or equivalent experience.
1-3 years of prior work experience that may or may not be related to the job description;
Understanding of available end-user documentation tools and MS Office suite;
Ability to analyze large volumes of information and remain focused on the task; and
Ability to deal with ambiguity
