Respond to all environmental alarms on the network in a timely and decisive manner.
  • Opens trouble tickets and orchestrates repair of Environmental systems using Field operations and vendors to fix the issues.

  • Takes the lead in driving the repair of CenturyLink equipment.

  • Works with minimal supervision in a NOC environment, sometimes for extended hours and is available to work all hours in a 24x7 environment.

  • Manages ticket workloads and statuses tickets in a timely manner.

  • Escalates issues and seeks guidance from Lead tech on shift or supervisor.

  • Would demonstrate CenturyLinks Vision and models CenturyLinks Values.

  • Job Requirements
    Basic Qualifications:
    • Must have two or more years of NOC or field experience.

    • Ability to understand alarms, severity and the consequences of each alarm.

    • Ability to communicate effectively with peers and others.

    Preferred Qualifications:
    • Associates Degree or higher in Telecom, Electronics or related field desired but not mandatory.

    • Ideal technician would demonstrate knowledge of: HVAC, DC Power Plants, Generators, Network Timing and Fiber optics.
