BASIC FUNCTION: The role of Mill Engineer will be to work with the departments on safety, quality, production, cost improvement, and capital projects. The Mill Engineer will be responsible for managing the day to day projects and working with the operations team to accomplish specific goals. They will lead safety, productivity, cost, and yield improvement projects and be integral in pass design and mill equipment changes using Auto Cad and Wicon. The qualified candidate must be able to comply with a rotating schedule working 12 hour shifts including; nights, weekends, vacation coverage, and holidays.

Requirements

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Must have a 4 year engineering degree to apply for this position.
  • Must have minimum of 3 years of experience using Auto Cad.
  • Must have 5 years minimum experience in industry or manufacturing.


  • PREFERENCES:

  • 10 years steel/manufacturing experience in an industrial setting.
  • Prior supervisory experience.
  • Six Sigma Black Belt training with Minitab or similar training.
