Research & Assistant Editor DETAILS / Editorial Condé Nast seeks a Research & Assistant Editor for a full-time staff position. Overview/Purpose DETAILS is seeking a Research & Assistant Editor to join their dynamic team. This person will work with the Research Director to fact-check all articles for the print magazine and website for accuracy and legal concerns. He/she will also work with the magazine’s editors to help conceive and write sidebars and text elements for feature packages and contribute ideas and write short articles to appear in various front-of-book sections.
        Primary Responsibilities: Fact-checking assigned stories from initial manuscript through to final shipping. Working with magazine’s editors, copy department, and production department to ensure stories for each issue are fully researched and able to ship on deadline. Pitching ideas and contributing to feature packages and writing front-of-book stories, as needed Contributing ideas for online content Requirements: 2 years of consumer magazine fact-checking experience Strong research skills and a working knowledge of Nexis and other research databases. Ability to identify areas of potential legal concern as part of preparing stories for publication. Published clips showing an ability to write engaging copy.
