Reponsible for resolving complex technical problems and implementing modifications to applications; document & validate accuracy and completeness of programs
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following: Other duties may be assigned.
Must be capable of using third/fourth generation and state of the art equipment (to include: Solaris, Unix and Windows operating systems) and programming languages (COBAL, C Sharp, C++) to maintain and sustain the SARSS-1 STAMIS.
Must be familiar with and capable of, using Perl/Shell Scripts. Resolve complex technical problems; analyses technical and functional requirements to comply with system business rules, implement modifications to applications; document & validate accuracy and completeness of programs.
Other duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE: Bachelor degree, 2- 6 years as systems analyst or programmer. 3-5 years DBA experience is substitutable for degree.
The following certification(s) may be required:
CompTIA A+/Network
CompTIA A+/Network MCSA
Solaris SCSA (Unix) MCITP or MCDBA
SKILLS and KNOWLEDGE:
Resolve complex technical problems when necessary.
Implement modifications to applications; document & validate accuracy and completeness of programs.
OTHER SKILLS AND ABILITIES: Capable of using third/fourth generation and state of the art equipment (to include: Solaris, Unix and Windows operating systems) and programming languages (COBAL, C Sharp, C++) to maintain and sustain the SARSS-1 STAMIS.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS: The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. Work environment is in an office, with no extraordinary physical demands. Occasional travel; 10-15 percent of the time, may be required.

The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate. Individual must maintain a safe work environment.
