Research and analyze market data and competitive tariffs and accurately respond to rate and service inquiries. Responsible for daily pricing, quoting and booking of air and ocean freight shipments and securing adhoc pricing from a wide range of air cargo and vessel operators on a global basis. Produce reports and deliverables within specified guidelines, requiring statistical analysis and strategic decision-making. Required to read and interpret enngineering drawings, packing lists and the bill of materials in order to determine the ideal cost and service options to transport large, complex international shipments. Experience working with air and ocean cargo pricing and contracts, includes making adhoc pricing arrangements, preparing written quotations, analyzing and responding to RFI's, RFQ's, RFP's and contracts, and negotiate both independently and under the supervision of Supervisor and/or Manager. Complete various assigned projects from vision to completion for supervisor, Manager, Vice President or other management as required.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE & EDUCATION:
T hree to five years of sales and/or operations experience in the international air and ocean freight forwarding/transportation industry, ideally with concentrated experience in ocean freight. Knowledge of the air and ocean freight export process and experience managing large scale international shipments from supplier to site. Strong analytical and technical abilities, especially in Microsoft Word and Excel. Effective verbal and written communication skills. Ability to effectively leverage the resources of the organization to accomplish assigned tasks. Proven industry leadership experience may be required. Strong project management experience in order to track, trace and monitor shipments on a global basis specifically Middle East, Africa and South America. Knowledge of export and import documentation requirements.
All Crowley positions require proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Outlook and Word. Some positions may also include proficiency in other Microsoft Office applications.
High School diploma or equivalent, with course work after high school and job-related training preferred. A four-year Bachelors degree in Transportation/Logistics from an accredited university is strongly desired.
Normal office environment with little exposure to excessive noise, dust, temperature and the like. Extended use of computer keyboard and viewing of computer monitor and ability to sit for long periods of time. Ability to work overtime as required. Must comply with all work rules, including those pertaining to safety and health.
