IT Service Operations-Manufacturing IT serves Cargill globally.
This is a Systems Analyst position on the Manufacturing IT team and will primarily work with the North American region on Manufacturing Operations Management (MOM) systems.
These systems sit in between the plant floor and our ERP systems.
Examples are scales systems, QA systems, and some safety systems.
Most of the currently supported MOM solutions are used in FIS North America, with some light usage in EMEA.
This Systems Analyst will provide ownership and support of multiple MOM systems of varying complexity.
You will own and become the SME for multiple MOM applications including the support processes, technology lifecycle, compliance, governance, and rationalization. Functional areas of the supported BUs include food product Quality Assurance, Product Lifecycle Management, Managed Goods Movement and Storage, and R&D.
This position needs to work independently and receive direction through monitoring of progress and results.
The nature of the projects and systems support in the Manufacturing IT MOM area requires critical thinking, especially when multiple systems and business units are involved.
These systems are running in plants that operate 24x7x365, and you would participate in an on-call rotation for application support.
Manufacturing systems SME and ownership
- Own and work through support issues for multiple MOM systems
Bachelor’s Degree MIS/Computer Science or Bachelor’s degree in a scientific field and/or equivalent experience in the IT field or manufacturing processes
2+ years IT/Business experience with demonstrated ability to solve complex problems
Experience working with complex business processes
Experience working with a variety of technical environments (relational databases, client/server, web, etc)
Strong communication skills, with demonstrated ability to communicated to different levels of the organization
Demonstrated ability to work both independently and in a team environment
Proven skills in sharing information and expertise with others, delivering solutions, and performing root cause analysis
Ability to participate in an on-call rotation application support team
Relational database understanding
Basic OS configuration (registry, scheduled tasks, batch files)
Complex business application usage
Business process flow understanding/design/documentation
Experience working with MGMS process flows in Cargill. (Managed Goods Movement and Storage
