Ingersoll Rand’s Climate Solutions sector delivers energy-efficient HVACR solutions for customers globally. Its world class brands include Thermo King, the leader in transport temperature control and Trane, provider of energy efficient heating, ventilating and air conditioning systems, building and contracting services, parts support and advanced controls for homes and commercial buildings.
Manage purchasing-related daily tactical tasks for over 50 suppliers and $10+M spend with external and internal suppliers.
Contact suppliers and other internal/external customers daily to ensure material availability/on-time delivery to our warehouse and to our end customers.
Manage purchase orders to improve inventory turns and fill rates.
Effectively communicate with customer service team on order deliveries.
Maintain accuracy of supplier/parts information in systems, including part and supplier set up where needed.
Review forecast and issue manual purchase orders when needed.
Work with warehouse receiving team, quality, and other parties involved to resolve issues.
Support customer service requests and close communication loop to meet requestor requirements; work with suppliers to expedite as required.
Fix price/invoice discrepancy and complete associated accounting tasks.
Maintain proactive relationship with suppliers, sales, customer service team, etc.
Assist manager in establishing goals and metrics to ensure continuous improvement.
Complete other responsibilities as assigned.
Associate's degree in business-related field and minimum 2 years of relevant experience required. Bachelor’s degree in business or related field preferred.
Knowledge of purchasing and material planning business systems required; Oracle experience preferred. PBS and PeopleSoft skills preferred.
Must possess good analytical and problem solving skills.
Must be action-oriented and organized in order to handle multiple tasks.
Good PC skills and knowledge of MS Office applications required.
Must have a positive attitude and the ability to work well with others at all levels.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills required.
