Type of Position:
Minimum of B.A. or B.S. degree or equivalent. Minimum of 6 years experience managing proposals for the A/E industry. The candidate for this position will possess the following strengths:
Intensive and diversified knowledge of marketing and proposal principles in coordination and production of proposals, presentations, and other business development / marketing materials.
Understanding of IE’s business processes, policies, and procedures.
Efficiently balances competing priorities and requirements.
Ability to juggle multiple proposals and marketing activities simultaneously.
Able to interpret, coordinate, and execute complex marketing and/or production tasks for Marketing Coordinators/Manager.
Takes initiative in anticipating tasks and looks for ways to add value to the process/procedures.
Ability to conduct final QC check, including proofreading for grammar and RFP compliance and checking for conformance to established strategies and plans.
Brings a high level of integrity and professionalism to a team environment.
. Must have a complete understanding of the proposal process and the ability to work as part of a team and the ability to lead a proposal development team. Strong writing, editing, organizational, and time management skills are required. Must have experience managing multidiscipline proposal teams including senior and junior level technical and support personnel, clients, and subconsultants. Candidate will have excellent written and verbal communication skills; manage federal, commercial, or private industry proposals; prepare and develop win strategies for proposals and SOQs; develop and produce client presentations; rehearse presentation teams; managed proposal process – including meeting all deadlines; document editing, preparation, editing, production scheduling, work with graphic illustrator for designing covers, presentations, and marketing collateral. Candidate will have advanced word processing skills, excellent proofreading skills, work with Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Adobe Acrobat and InDesign.
Candidate will be responsible for all upkeep of marketing collateral, resumes, project descriptions, files, SOQs, proposals and presentations. Candidate will also need the following attributes: flexible, team player, works well under pressure, good time management skills, detail oriented, extremely organized, and great follow through, and strong team building skills. Candidate will work in the Los Angeles, California office and report to the Los Angeles Basin Marketing Manager.
