The employee will provide Secretarial support services to support the Health Promotion Section in conducting health promotions programs and activities.
Will act as the first point of contact with patients, customers and hospital staff members.
Explains Section's mission and services via telephone and on a walk in basis.
Signs beneficiaries up for classes, answers questions about the Section's services and refers beneficiaries to other hospital services as appropriate.
Makes necessary arrangements to set up classes offered by the section.
Maintains class schedules, setting up classrooms, preparing class materials and other clerical duties related to class functions. Performs clerical duties necessary for the day to day operations of the Section, including but limited to maintaining assigned files, photocopying, delivery of materials to other departments, maintaining an inventory of health promotion materials.
Assist other departments with health promotion activities and other clerical duties as designated by the Section Head.
High School graduate or equivalent with courses in typing.
One year experience in medical general office enviroment.
Ability to read,write and speak english fluently.
Skilled in operating computer terminals, scanners, copiers, printers, fax machines.
Knowledge of grammar, spelling, punctuation and formats. Knowledgable of medical terminology.
Skilled in the use of Microsoft Office products.
Must be able to obtain a National Agency Check at the NACLC level.
