Virtual Simulations Training Specialist. Special Skills/Qualifications Required: For Trainer/Operator. Military Combat Arms background required. Special Operations Forces experience highly desired. Military Instructor Training Course or civilian equivalent required. For positions of Close Air Support, the primary trainer/operator will focus on training communication techniques for CAS, and will have Special Operations, Joint Terminal Attack Controller (JTAC) experience or a member of a Tactical Air Controller Party (TACP). For positions of Parachute Simulator (PARASIM) trainer, Trainers/Operators must have Military Static- line Parachute Jumpmaster and Military Freefall Jumpmaster certifications. For Simulation Technicians: Be versed in LINUX, and Windows operating systems, as well as the system administration, networking, trouble shooting, and repair of these systems. or Trainer/Operator. Special Forces Weapons or Operations experience preferred. Familiar with basic marksmanship training principles. Basic computer skills required (word, powerpoint, excel). Anti-armor gunner or instructor gunner experience preferred. Familiar with Emergency Close Air Support procedures and with Artillery and Mortar Call for fire procedures. Military Static-line Parachute Jumpmaster preferred not required. Military Freefall Jumpmaster preferred not required. Experience with constructive and virtual computer simulations/or digital C2 systems. Position's Primary Duties For Trainer/Operator. Edit existing marksmanship engagement scenarios for the Engagement Skills Trainer 2000 (EST 2000). Review and revise training scenarios that address the specific training requirements of Special Operations Forces (SOF). Ensure scenarios and training techniques are relevant and in keeping with the operational requirements of units. Will recommend changes to the development of simulation scenarios to train individual marksmanship and small unit collective critical tasks. Conducts training on the design and development of virtual simulation scenarios specifically tailored to train Special Operations Forces (SOF). Facilitates the use of Live, Virtual and Constructive (L-V-C) training simulators and devices to support individual and collective training tasks; to include the SAGIS, E-CAS, CFFT, basic and advanced marksmanship, collective engagement scenarios, convoy immediate action drills, maneuver, and pre-deployment training. Instruct and demonstrate weapon safety, firing positions, and other specified fundamentals and techniques of the Javelin missile system through the Javelin Basic Skills Trainer, a virtual engagement simulator. Identify deficiencies and provide corrective advice and training in order to improve anti-armor marksmanship. Performs duties as a Trainer/Operator/Instructor for the (EST 2000), Javelin Basic Skills Trainer and the Warrior Skills Trainer (WST). Tasks include the physical setup, configuration, operation and integration of simulation hardware and software components used to replicate a virtual convoy training scenario. Write instructional material, conduct classes and provide input necessary for the development of simulation scenarios. Collects and manages combat maneuver data during computer-assisted military virtual training exercises for Special Operations Forces. Instruct and demonstrate proper use of the parachute simulator (PARASIM) as well as identify jumper deficiencies in order to offer corrective advice and improve airborne infiltration techniques.
Associates Degree, or the equivalent combination of education, technical certifications or training, or work/military experience.
1-3 years of directly related experience in course instruction.
