Electrical Designer - Englewood, CO
The challenge? Help to meet the ever increasing demand for electric power. Our SmartPlant Electrical Designer career offers an exciting opportunity to design power plants. Each day your expertise in SmartPlant Electrical Designer will enable our utility clients to meet the power needs of their customers.
Our Electrical Designer:
Thorough understanding of all areas of project.
Able to provide all design drawings from rough sketches, notes, vendor drawings or general directions from others.
Ability to complete portions of project design as given by Lead Designer on project.
Check the work of drafters or other designers for thoroughness, neatness, accuracy and documentation.
Check vendor and other discipline drawings and information with own or other designer work for correctness.
Develop standard details that may be required and maintain documentation for project and discipline files.
Track status of drawings; work with Lead Engineer on staffing requirements and any scheduling conflicts.
Follow Company established guidelines and procedures.
Demonstrated proficiency with AutoCad or Microstation

Demonstrated on-project experience applying SmartPlant on power project as a
A minimum of 5 years power industry project experience as a designer.
Demonstrated experience and working knowledge of computer aided design tools.
Demonstrated experience in 3D equipment and electrical system modeling.
Demonstrated experience in 2D and non-physical electrical design.
Proficiency in the power plant computer aided design platforms and their use on
Proficiency in written and oral communications skills.
Proficiency in power plant electrical non-physical and physical design.
Proficiency in lighting design.
Proficiency in cross-discipline coordination.
High School or GED
Preferred Years of Experience
