DESCRIPTION

Go on road trip, see the country all expenses covered and get paid for it! Assists with field product demonstrations. Travels nationally and operates non-commercial, ton pick-up truck (Ford F350) to safely transport twenty foot, enclosed trailer conveying trade show and demo equipment to specified destination(s) within specified time frame.

Prefer candidates to be Minnesota based. Hennepin county listed only for posting purposes.

DUTIES

1.Drives a motor vehicle, usually a three-quarter ton pickup truck, on the public highways to transport non-hazardous materials and equipment. Truck tows a 10,000 GVW enclosed trailer. Travel is a national mix of urban and rural destinations, but primarily rural.
a.Travels between demonstration sites within a sales territory after each day's demonstration. Travels between territories, departing after Friday demonstration, and arrives in time for the following Monday morning site demonstration.
b.Complies with all over-the-road safety requirements and follows routine regimen to maintain security of vehicle, trailer and equipment.
c.Maintains travel records and expense reports as required.

2.Assists with onsite demonstration equipment set-up and delivery
a.Loads or unloads the vehicle and trailer in preparation for onsite equipment demonstrations. .
b.Sets-up barbeque grill and prepares food for lunch service for larger demo groups.
c.Shops for necessary grocery items (hamburger, bratwurst, buns, condiments, etc.)
d..Conducts casual conversation with customers during lunch events
e..Preps and cleans truck, trailer (including interior) and grilling equipment for each event.

4.Contributes to a cooperative, positive team environment.

5.Perform miscellaneous tasks
a.Be flexible and prioritize work according to direction received from marketing and sales team
b.Maintain safety requirements.
c.Identify worn tools and maintain good tools in working order.
d.Work overtime when required.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Does not require CDL, but must have a clean driving record for past five years.
  • Requires experience driving trailers approximating 10,000 GVW.
  • Able to travel extensive periods of time (two plus months at a time) without returning to home base.
  • Able to repetitively lift and carry (within set-up area) forty to fifty pounds.
  • This position requires dexterity of hand, wrist, and arm movement and ability to stand for periods of approximately four hours.
  • Experience with basic hand tools
  • Able to interact with customers in a casual environment.
  • Ability to work in a fast paced environment
