Job Title: Planning Production Control Specialist II HWIC

Job Duties and Responsibilities:
This individual will join a team of Supply Chain Production Control Professionals providing manufacturing floor support in the areas of material flow, work release planning/execution, and tactical production support. The individual will operate in multiple shop floor and MRP related systems to ensure alignment between material position and production capability/schedule.

Specific responsibilities include:

Ensuring Work-In-Process (WIP) levels on the manufacturing floor are appropriate to meet MRP requirements and internal/external customer demand
·
Monitor make and purchase part availability/readiness against planned order kit releases and work cross-functionally to resolve supply line issues through ISC teammates and other Cross-Business Team (CBT) teams as appropriate
·
Manage the release of shop orders and material to production.
·
Coordinate material movement and handler support at all phases of a production build
·
Manage replacement parts and rework shop orders including support of suspect and non-conforming material disposition
·
Develop and implement lean material flow practices to optimize material flow in, through, and out of manufacturing
·
Collaborate with Value Stream Management to set work priorities
·
Identify and resolve material issues/constraints and drive to resolution cross-functionally.
·
Manage the data integrity and timely completion/closing of shop orders and material information in shop floor data systems and MRP

Basic Qualifications and Required Education:
·


Bachelor’s degree
·
Minimum of 2 years experience in Production Control or other Shop Floor management in a manufacturing environment
·
Experience with MRP, Shop Floor Management, Inventory control, and/or other related systems.
·
Experience with MS Office
·
Manufacturing floor operational experience
Desired Qualifications:
·


Experience in Material and Inventory Control-type systems such as Kanban, SMI, Continuous Flow Manufacturing, etc
·
Demonstrated Lean Experience
·
Ability to work across business areas and interface at all levels of organization
·
Proven self-starter with ability to motivate and influence across functional groups
·
Strong analytical, problem solving, and business communication skills
·
Self-starter who requires minimal supervision, works well with teammates and customers, and has a results-based mindset and proven track record of success
·
Strong interpersonal and communication skills (oral and written)
·
Experience working in a union represented manufacturing environment
