This individuals responsibility will be to provide case management to clients in one or more program(s) residing in a single womens shelter setting. In addition, this person may handle an independent caseload and assist other personnel by ensuring proper referral of clients to all appropriate services available.
Duties may include, but are not limited to, providing intake/assessment services, preparing reports, housing packages, HMIS data input, arranging for necessary supportive services such as medical, D&A, psychiatric, transportation, vocational, educational, etc. conduct community meetings with the residents, ensure rule adherence and provide life-skills education as needed.
- Bachelor Degree in a generally recognized clinical discipline, plus specialized training for specialized population; and/or full certification as an Addictions Counselor; or Masters Degree in related specialty area.
- Four (4) years of Drug & Alcohol counseling or case management.
Sobriety: If recovering, two (2) years sobriety.
Substitutions: Appropriate substitutions may be for an equivalent combination of education, training and experience (1 year experience= 1 year education and training).
