The Private Client Banker is responsible for delivering a high-touch and superior service experience to a portfolio of affluent clientele who have a minimum of $500K in liquid/investable assets. As the main point of contact for the client, the Banker's primary responsibility is to adopt a proactive and disciplined approach to expanding and retaining existing relationships and acquiring new affluent clients. A successful Banker will be expected to contribute to acquisition primarily by actively soliciting referrals from satisfied clients and developing internal and external referral sources..
The Banker is expected to facilitate efficient and accurate interactions between the client, lending and investing business partners. The Banker also partners with the Investment Advisor to capture a greater share of client wallet, working the exact same book of business together.
Because the banker serves as the clients' personal advocate at Chase, areas of focus will include (but are not limited to):
Actively managing the banking relationship and ensuring the client receives the best products, services and rates for his or her needs
Delivering an advice-based approach to product recommendations
Demonstrating a team-based approach to delivering our investment capabilities (in close partnership with Investment Advisor)
Banker will deepen relationships with clients by:
Consolidating deposit balances from other institutions
Working with internal business partners to cross-sell home equities, mortgage, etc.
In conjunction with a JPM Investment Advisor, identifying opportunities to bring new money into JPMorgan Investment Portfolio
Selling clients appropriate credit card
Working with Business Banking Relationship Managers for referrals
Ensuring client has all appropriate convenience products
Upon hire, the banker will be expected to spend significant time on client outreach by telephone to build their book of business.
Minimum two years as a Personal Banker with proven sales success
Minimum of five years of experience in the financial services industry (preferred)
Series 6, 63, life licenses
Public Notary (can be obtained subsequent to hire)
Excellent telephone skills
Relationship-oriented approach to selling
Value-added, needs-based selling approach
Strong team orientation and is committed to being with the firm long-term
