Essential Duties Include:
Utilize experience in C# programming, Microsoft SQL (Transact-SQL) programming, Relational Database design, newsroom management system design and analysis, requirements collection and analysis, and messaging systems design and analysis to design and support critical newsroom applications. Use .NET and other related technologies to develop components of newsroom applications. Provide escalated support on a daily and on-call basis for other groups who are directly supporting the newsroom. Collaborate with the Quality Assurance team to devise effective testing techniques for .NET software in a high-availability, high-performance environment. Work directly with users in other divisions of the organization including News and Audio Engineering to analyze and create solutions for workflow issues. Perform high-level database design and analysis to assist with creation, deployment, and modification of Microsoft SQL databases.
Education: Bachelor’s degree (or foreign equivalent) in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.
Experience: Five years of progressive, post-baccalaureate experience in the skill set described above
Salary: One hundred five thousand dollars per year.
