Job SummaryProvide assistance to the Store Manager and Assistant Store Manager through leadership skills, positive attitude, high energy, integrity, and delegate/follow up skills while providing legendary customer service. Principle Responsibilities When working with the Store Manager and Assistant Store Manager Deliver outstanding customer service, setting the example for other Team Members Promote a safe and productive work environment for Team Members and customers Assist the Store Manager and Assistant Store Manager to insure 100% compliance to all operational issues as outlined in the procedural audit, shortage audit, and all store assessment reports Accept the responsibility of being placed on the alarm call list and responding to any alarm calls When Working in the absence of the Store Manager and/or Assistant Store Manager Provide leadership and direction for store personnel to insure an A+ shopping experience for our customers Ensure execution to the Daily Planner/Closing Checklist Use Policy as outlined in the Operations Manual dated 1/03 Ensure execution of the Recovery program as outlined in the Operations Manual dated 1/03 Maximize team productivity by motivating, training, and directing Team Members. Resolve customer complaints or issues with efficiency and tact as per company established guidelines Promote a safe and productive work environment for Team Members and customers Organize and manage workflow to promote operational efficiency and exceptional customer service It is the Team Leader's responsibility to provide leadership and direction to the store team, ensures the positive customer shopping experience, and performs operational activities throughout the store or gives appropriate direction to others to do so. Principle Duties Complete tasks assigned to them from the Store Manager and/or Assistant Store Manager through the Daily Planner Assist the Store Manager and/or Assistant Store Manager in the follow up of tasks assigned to other Team Members Operate cash register/computer Provide cash control within the parameters established by Tractor Supply Company Recovery of merchandise in assigned areas "Freight in Eight': mandatory freight night as assigned by Store Manager Plan-o-grams (merchandising, sets, and resets) Assembling merchandise Janitorial Price changes/markdowns Deliveries Forklift Operation Load outs Other responsibilities as assigned by the Manager
Experience and Education High school diploma or the equivalent Must be at least 18 years of age Attributes Highly motivated leader capable of motivating others to achieve company goals Strong interpersonal skills and ability to resolve issues ethically and with minimal conflict Strong verbal and written communication skills Essential Functions of the Job The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by a team member to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. While performing the duties of this job, team member is regularly required to: Perform and execute principle responsibilities Process information / merchandise through system and POS Register system Communicate effectively with team members and customers Read, write, and count to accurately complete all documentation Freely access all areas of the store including selling floor, side lot, stock area and register area Operate and use all equipment necessary to run a store such as a dolly, hand-truck, forklift, computer and cash register Squat, bend, stoop and climb ladders Move and transfer merchandise generally weighing 0 - 50 pounds throughout the store Work varied hours, days, nights, and weekends as business dictates Stand and walk for long periods of time often up to four hours straight without a break
