Provide support to the maintenance department performing a variety of cross-functional duties. Work closely with Plant Engineer, Controls Technician and all maintenance mechanics.
This individual also has a responsibility to ensure and maintain a food safe environment through compliance to all requirements of programs/policies for Food Safety, Good Manufacturing Practices, HACCP, Quality, Workplace Safety, IPM, OSHA, Environmental, and as may be required by Plant, Company, Local, State and Federal mandates or programs.
Supports without hesitation General Plant Safety, Food Safety, Food Defense Initiatives and Good Manufacturing Practices with an understanding that these are absolutes and are Priority #1.
Assures that General Safety and Food Safety is an absolute priority by setting the example as a support resource of senior management.
Provides administrative support to assure that Product Quality is an absolute priority utilizing IPM, Plant Teams and outside resources to accomplish this.
Provide support to the maintenance department by processing all paperwork, track parts usage and input data into computer systems related to PM’s, work orders, Downtime, Environmental items, etc.
Order all parts for inventory, receive them and catalog their arrival.
Maintain parts tracking system.
Maintain parts inventory system.
Timely ordering of parts to reduce / eliminate the need for emergency parts ordering.
Research new vendors for competitive pricing.
Process all maintenance invoices dealing directly with vendors and OEM’s. Track spending for departmental budget purposes.
Maintain environmental database (BEST) with updated information (wastewater, oxidizer related info, refrigeration, vendor updates, etc.)
Conduct audits / inspections as required.
Allergens are a part of the plant operation, there it is critically important that the entire Plant Allergen program is clearly understood, supported and adhered to.
High school diploma or G.E.D. required.
Excellent computer skills and knowledge of industrial parts and machinery is imperative.
Experience with parts inventory management is highly preferred.
Basic knowledge of parts required for electrical and mechanical systems is critical.
Able to communicate effectively – both written and orally.
Computer literate, word processing, spreadsheets, database and graphics.
Great organizational skills in addition to ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
