The Vice President for Student Services performs duties necessary to formulate and implement the budget, staffing, policies and procedures, long range planning, staff development and professional leadership for the student affairs division. Responsible for the management of a comprehensive group of student services and information technology services which include: recruiting, admissions, registration, student records, financial aid, veteran’s affairs, counseling, job placement, student activities, orientation, federal grant programs, student discipline, academic advising, career services, administrative software project management and student information reporting services. The purpose of the position is to insure student support programs and activities meet the goals and objectives of the College and meet the needs of the student population. · Plans, develops, implements and evaluates an effective and coordinated system of enrollment management services for the college (Admissions, Recruitment, Advisement, and Financial Aid) and supervises the planning and delivery of training for these services to faculty, staff, and students. · Insures effective development and delivery of student academic counseling services that contribute to student success. · Responsible for implementing College policies and procedures and the rules, regulations, and laws of state and federal agencies as they relate to student services area. Works with faculty, staff and students in maintaining student discipline through enforcement of SC Technical College Student Code of Conduct and Grievance Guidelines. · Directs the development and administration of the budget for the assigned areas, forecasts the need for additional funding for staffing, equipment, materials and supplies as prioritized through the unit plans; and prepares an integrated budget request for the division. · Serves as a member of the President's Staff and is involved in the strategic planning process of the college. Serves as an advocate of the college in the community. · Coordinates the scheduling, design and development of student information reporting services to faculty and staff at the college. · Supervises the planning, development, and delivery of professional development for the division.
Minimum and Additional Requirements:
A Master's degree, plus five (5) years of progressively related work experience .
