Job Summary

Consults with HR Leaders, HR Consultants and line managers in the development, management, and administration of compensation programs to ensure Ceridian’s s ability to attract, retain, motivate and develop our employees; offer competitive pay opportunities and support our reward for performance philosophy.

Serve as a compensation consultant to HR management and line management.
Research best practices; develop proactive approaches to identify compensation challenges within customer groups and develop solutions.

Participate in annual compensation surveys to collect and analyze market data to determine company's competitive position

Conduct market pricing by job matching and utilize this information to develop and maintain salary structure/ranges

Oversee the administration of annual merit processes. Analyze data to ensure budgetary compliance, reward for performance and provide reports to Executive Management

Manage monthly headcount/FTE reporting

Utilize compensation related databases and systems that support compensation programs throughout the organization

Assist with annual Sales Compensation development process

Assist with annual Bonus administration process

Assist with the creation of training materials and communications on compensation programs and processes for HR and line management.

Complete special projects and studies as assigned which may include the redesign of existing compensation programs, the development of new programs and the completion of ad-hoc analysis that outline specific observations and recommendations.

Ability to interface with all levels of employees, including executives, and work in a fast-paced team environment.

Proven experience managing clients and managing projects.

Excellent analytical and quantitative skills.

Ability to remain flexible and adapt to change.

Excellent communications skills: listening, interpersonal and writing.

5-8 years of progressive experience specifically in: base salary and variable compensation program design/administration, benchmarking, salary analysis, communication development, salary management, and program administration.

Advanced Excel expertise with a willingness to work hands on in the detail as well as in the analysis. Working knowledge of MS Access, Word and Powerpoint

Familiarity with HRIS applications desired.

Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Must have good interpersonal and client facing skills with HR Business Partners, Managers, and Senior Leadership.

Proven analytical and problem solving skills as well as an ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously to successful completion in a fast-paced environment.

Collaborative team player and self-starter.

BS/BA degree in business, management or finance. CCP/ACA or other compensation certifications a plus. MBA or MAIR preferred.
