Lionbridge is seeking to fill the position of Technical Supervisor.
The successful candidate will have experience in prototype manufacturing, communicating with R&D Engineering, prototype production and testing personnel, prototype processes, technical reporting, and real time feedback to various levels of organizations.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Includes, but is not limited to the following. Other duties may be assigned.
~ Manage shift to meet delivery expectations
~ Support shift training including new hire training and cross training.
~ Encourage process improvement initiatives and look for efficiencies
~ Provide shift oversight and supervision
~ Facilitate effective team communications
~ Nurture employee relationships to encourage team effort
~ Ensures quality and timely deliverables.
~ Assure team adheres to company, customer, and co-employment policies
~ Contributes to customer service development of team.
~Ensures appropriate behavior on shift and reports to Technical Supervisors any issues that require additional actions to be taken.
~ Write Clear and concise shift reports
~ Supervision and oversight of assigned shift.
~ Works quickly with Project Manager, Technical
~ Supervisors and HR to resolve personnel issues
~ Responsible for active mentoring and ongoing corrective action per corporate policies
REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
3-5+ years within:
~ Project management or technical leadership experience is required.
~ Strong understanding of software/ product development life cycle
~ Understanding of quality assurance practices, principles, and methodologies is required.
~ Ability to read and interpret documents such as process descriptions, procedure manuals, and technical trade journals.
~ Ability to communicate effectively with clients and employees of the organization.
~ Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.
~ Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
~ Knowledge of deductive reasoning.
~ Ability to analyze business opportunities and develop effective business solutions Management experience preferably with onsite teams
~ Responsive to management and client requests
~ Experience in working with employees to resolve personnel issues
~ Requires Associate’s degree and two years experience or 4 years supervisory experience.
• Work is generally performed in a lab environment. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
