The Payroll Administrator will be responsible for compiling and processing payroll data on a biweekly basis. The payroll administrator will also be responsible for maintaining the payroll records and providing quality customer service.
DUTIES / RESPONSIBILITIES:
Process payroll paperwork for new and current employees and enter employee information in the payroll system.
Performs routine computation of wages.
Assists in calculating earnings based on timesheets and imported field bonus information.
Reviews wages computed and corrects errors to ensure accuracy of payroll.
Updates employee information such as direct deposits, W4-s, salary changes, transfers, and resignations.
Maintains time reporter data in the Time & Labor system. Audits hours and adjustments. Loads data to payroll system.
Processes manual checks when necessary.
Generates and distributes periodic reports of earnings, deductions, and taxes.
Assists with researching and resolving employee questions or concerns related to his/her paycheck.
Participates in special projects or complete other duties as assigned.
WORK ENVIRONMENT / PHYSICAL ABILITIES:
While performing the duties of this job, the employee will be indoors in environmentally controlled conditions, such as an office.
While performing the duties of this job the employee is regularly required to sit, stand, and walk. Occasionally the employee will be required to stoop, kneel, or crouch, reach with hands and arms, and lift up to 20 lbs. The vision requirements include: close vision and ability to adjust focus.
POSITION REQUIREMENTS – EDUCATION, SKILLS, ABILITIES, EXPERIENCE:
Associate’s degree in payroll or accounting preferred
2-3 years of experience in a fast paced payroll department
Proficient with Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook
Strong mathematical reasoning abilities
Strong critical thinking and problem solving abilities
Attention to detail, ability to multitask, and strong organizational skills required
Strong communication skills (verbal and written) and active listening skills
Strong customer service skills

Multi-State payroll experience
