CSC is seeking an Information Security Architect to support our data center in Newark, DE. We are seeking folks with the following background:
Extensive experience and in-depth working knowledge across multiple technical disciplines including one or more of the following; NIDS, HIDS, SIEM, Enterprise Anti-Malware solutions, DLP, Vulnerability Assessment tools, Technology Compliance tools, FIM, Whole Disk Encryption.
NIDS (Network Intrusion Detection) - McAfee Network Security Platform, formerly called Intrushield and/or SIEM, security information - Symantec, ArcSight, QRadar
Working knowledge of Windows, Unix and Linux Operating Systems.
Working knowledge of networking protocols (i.e., FTP, HTTP, DNS,
DHCP, RADIUS, SNMP, SSH, Syslog and SMTP).
In-depth knowledge of security and privacy best practices.
Passion for teamwork, career growth, and knowledge sharing.
Ability to adapt quickly to change.
Written and oral communication skills, teamwork and organizational
Engineers will be responsible for new deployment of infrastructure, configuring of networks, not necessarily monitoring the systems.
Additional skills that are Desirable:
Knowledge in databases (Oracle, MS SQL, MySQL, Sybase, DB2)
Scripting experience (i.e., PHP, Shell, Windows)
Regulatory Compliance knowledge (i.e., PCI, SOX, HIPAA)
Security/Networking certifications (i.e., CISSP, CISM, GIAC , CCNA)
General Role and Responsibilities:
Designs more complex application security architecture. Coordinates technical design/review activities with various groups including application development, enterprise architecture, information security, systems, network, and database groups to develop secure frameworks and enterprise applications.
Designs the enterprise security infrastructure and architectural topology including recommending hardware, operating system, software, and information security requirements to ensure the confidentiality, integrity, availability, and privacy of information systems. Ensure consistency and sufficient integration with existing infrastructure.
Monitors, evaluates, and maintains systems and procedures to safeguard internal information systems and databases from unauthorized users.
Researches, recommends and implements changes to procedures and systems to enhance security.
Creates incident response plans, including coordination with appropriate departments, other business units, and appropriate authorities.
Educates customers to increase awareness of information security policies and best practices.
Collaborates with outside consultants/agencies as appropriate for independent security audits. Collaborates with business management to communicate security risk and countermeasures.
May assist and/or provide limited direction to lower level technical personnel.
Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience
Bachelor's degree in computer science, management information systems, or related field preferred
Nine or more years of experience in information security
Experience working with computer systems
Experience working with current and emerging information security technologies and development methodologies
Experience working with network software and hardware, data or voice
Experience working with proprietary software and hardware
Good analytical and creative problem solving skills for design, creation and testing of new databases
Good skills in time, priority and task management
Good interpersonal skills to interact with customers and team members
Good communication skills to interact with team members and support personnel
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
