Responsibilities Responsible for working with the Quality Assurance Team to improve production processes through data collection and analyst, RCCA, and implementation of Quality Management Systems. Direct customer support including problem solving, reporting, and on-site visits. Developing and maintaining metrics for the Quality Assurance department. Qualifications Candidate must demonstrate/provide the following skills and services:
4 year engineering degree - Mechanical Engineering preferred.
2-4 years of Quality Engineering experience in a manufacturing environment.
Understanding of Lean Manufacturing concepts and methods.
Ability to compile and analyze data. Understanding SPC, and process capability determination.
Technical expertise to identify root cause through data analysis.
Ability to evaluate, develop and implement improvements quickly.
Excellent problem solving skills.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to teach others.
Ability to work independently, and within a team.
Ability to coordinate assignments among multiple support groups and provide direction for project team members.
Ability to evaluate product and process change requests to ensure product quality is not compromised.
Flexibility to work overtime, different shifts, and travel on short notice as necessary.
Ability to work well under compressed time constraints.
Ability to manage multiple tasks/projects at one time.
Understanding of precision measurement instruments.
Familiarity with computers, including Excel, Word, Access, Statistical programs, and Solid works.
Hands-on engineering experience in a fabrication/assembly shop environment.
Experience with pneumatic tools, hydraulics, machining/forming/welding requirements, paint systems, and electrical systems.
Experience supporting an ISO Quality System
Ability to eliminate Quality challenges using poke-yokes and Zero QC techniques
