OVERALL PURPOSE: Under the direction of the Consumer Lending Division Portfolio Manager, this position is responsible to drive key data and information analytics to achieve strategic acquisition and retention initiatives to support the Division’s targeted financial performance objectives and ultimately drive positive NIACC contribution. The Consumer Lending Senior Portfolio and Product Analyst (Senior Analyst) oversees analytics for Consumer Lending Direct and Indirect products to including portfolio administration, acquisition initiatives, retention strategies and underwriting changes. Ensures business unit’s compliance with applicable laws, regulations, regulatory requirements and Bank policies and procedures, including but not limited to those related to Anti-Money Laundering laws and regulations, Bank Secrecy Act and USA PATRIOT Act. This position is also responsible for serving as the Excellence in Sales/Service (ESS) champion for the unit. This includes planning, executing, monitoring and measuring the service process. Designs, develops and produces key management reports from division related systems to support financial, product, channel, and risk-related decisions. Presents findings and recommendations to management team with impact analysis. Drives development of division business models to include refinement of key performance metrics for determination of acquisition and servicing cost and other core components in running the Business Unit. Assists with preparation of budgets, ongoing forecasting and financial projections for key forums including Retail Asset Quality, Retail Credit Policy and QPR. Designs, develops and produces timely key business unit reports to make prudent decisions to drive revenues, minimize losses and compliantly grow loans. Works closely with core partners in Risk Management, Marketing and other Business Units to achieve desired common objectives. Monitors portfolio trends and recommends changes to underwriting or portfolio management criteria to achieve quality loan growth and performance to meet the bank’s revenue and loss mitigation objectives. Works closely with key stakeholders to obtain and share data to support key initiatives. Prepares financial models to assess impact to consumer lending portfolio based on changes to underwriting, pricing and marketing initiatives in response to changing market conditions. Designs, develops and produces analytics using various data sources to drive marketing and risk management initiatives impacting division products. Works closely with key stakeholders in Marketing, Retail Credit Administration and IMSG to drive Bank of Hawaii data initiatives to model customer segmentation, behavior and trends to ultimately support division financial objectives. Develops enhanced analytics of collections and recovery data to provide feedback on Collection and Recovery strategies and its financial impact. Drives ongoing monitoring of portfolio performance results to determine potential impact on changes to collection and recovery trends and initiatives. Qualifications MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: · Education: College degree preferred or 7-10 years of consumer lending experience in lieu of education. · Experience: 7-10 years of consumer lending experience, demonstrated ability to design and develop tools using financial statements and other data to perform analytics to ultimately drive key acquisition, retention and loss mitigation initiatives. Possesses a thorough understanding and knowledge of consumer lending products, policies, procedures, federal regulations governing consumer lending. Basic understanding and working knowledge of automated credit scoring and information systems related to loan adjustment/collection/recovery. · Technical Skills: Ability to use a personal computer and is proficient on Microsoft Office software, including Outlook, Internet Explorer, Word ,Excel, and Access or similar relational database product. Relational database knowledge, strong spreadsheet proficiency and analytical skill-set. · Other Job Qualifications: Demonstrated verbal, writing communication and presentation skills to all levels of management.
