The physical therapist plans and administers physical therapy treatment programs for patients to restore function, relieve pain and prevent disability following disease, burn, injury or loss of body part. The physical therapist must be able to accurately assess the patient's condition and to develop, implement and modify programs that achieve maximum benefit to the patient.
Graduate from an accredited college program of physical therapy as established by the American Physical Therapy Association. Minimum education: Bachelor's degree or comparable certification in Physical Therapy. Licensed by the State of North Dakota as a Physical Therapist. Experience as a Physical Therapist typically acquired within one to three years or the ability to demonstrate achievement of position specific competencies.
