MARS is currently seeking a Vice President, Group Creative Director to manage several Fortune 500 client relationships and creative teams through our Southfield, MI office. This position leads their creative team on all strategic projects, co-manages the client relationship and oversees the quality of the team’s work. Our ideal candidate will be able to demonstrate strategic thinking skills through examples of their work, be a dynamic presenter, and have recent experience working on innovative, integrated campaigns.
What You'll Do:
Brainstorm and conceptualize larger-scale Shopper Marketing projects with client and internal team
Have high level of face to face client interaction - providing thought leadership impacting client’s way of doing business on an ongoing basis
Act as a change agent/impact player from both an internal and external perspective – contributing to both client and MARS performance
Lead and motivate creative team, representing client requests and brand equity
Maintain accountability for overall quality of creative work
Effectively manage creative projects from conceptualization to completion
Build strong working relationships with MARS account planning, account, channel, and integrated media teams and client
Step in to write or art direct as necessary
All other duties as assigned by Executive Creative Director
What You Can Bring to Us:
Bachelor’s degree in graphic arts, English, communications or related field
10+ years of marketing or advertising experience, preferably agency experience in shopper marketing
A well-rounded, world-class portfolio of client work, demonstrating a strong understanding of client objectives and strategies
Motivational leadership, inspiring cross functional team to deliver top performance against assigned business
Excellent written and oral communication/presentation skills with proven persuasive skills with clients
Sound decision-making skills based in agency, client, and industry knowledge
Passion for business and not satisfied with status quo – always thinking of ways to improve/grow assigned client/business
Dynamic, creative personality effectively engaging and influencing a variety of audiences
