Provides day-to-day technical support to employees for network infrastructure and internal desktop systems software and hardware. Performs general maintenance tasks and resolves less complex problems immediately, while more complex issues are identified to a higher level of support. Installs, configures and troubleshoots desktop systems, workstations, servers and network. Maintains passwords, data integrity and file system security for the desktop environment. Communicates highly technical information to both technical and nontechnical personnel. Recommends hardware and software solutions, including new acquisitions and upgrades. May participate in development of information technology and infrastructure projects. May conduct training programs designed to educate an organization's computer users about basic and specialized applications. May involve use of problem management databases and help desk system.
The Specialist Level works on assignments of a diverse scope where analysis of data requires evaluation of identifiable factors. Exercises judgement within generally defined practices and policies in selecting methods and techniques for obtaining solutions. Acts as liaison between customers, departments, and within the organization to lead problem resolution and change management processes. Ensures that all schedules, transmission, on-line systems, and problems are resolved in an accurate and timely manner. Utilizes technical expertise for moderately complex aspects of major system components used to support business. Acts as a resource for lower level technicians. Requires 5-10 years of related work experience, or Bachelor's degree, or technical training, or equivalent combination of education and experience. Employees working on client accounts must possess A+ certification.

Must be able to carry a desktop computer tower up stairs to second floor.
Must be able to drive golf cart or similar vehicle between buildings. Also be able to push walking cart with computer equipment on it.
Special Areas: Green Room (i.e. no static discharges) Must be trained to enter this area
Safety glasses & steeltoe shoes required in manufacturing and warehouse areas
Work Hours: Primarily 1st shift. Occasional, additional coverage of small portions of 2nd & 3rd shift.
Supports approximately 250 PC’s, including user PC’s, factory line PC’s, and generic walk-up PC’s
Sole on-site support for this location – requires responsible, dedicated individual (will also be supported by remote teams)
Implement Windows 7 rollout for 250 machines.
Printer Support Desktop, Laser, Multifunction, network printer.
Act as hands & feet on the ground for a remote server team.
Act as hands & feet on the ground for a remote networking team.
Support WiFi Access Points, wireless devices, hand held radios, and new network buildout (under guidance of network architect)
Network cabling: must be able to terminate CAT6 cable at each end and be familiar with wiring closets (large cabling jobs will be completed by third-party provider)
Support current phone system. Support current PA system.
Support architecting new telecom system(under guidance of telecom architect)
Support special softwares, act as liaison between site and third-party software providers.
Minimum 5 years’ experience in IT Support.
CompTIA A+ and N+ preferred.
