STG, Inc. is looking for a Senior Help Desk Professional to provide desktop technical support in a DoD Environment. Are you detailed oriented and a strategic thinker? If you are, keep reading, we may have a job for you! Responsibilities include providing technical Helpdesk support via telephone, remotely, online and face to face. Position also entails completing diagnostic repairs and hardware/software installs. Duties include laptop setup and configuration including VPN. Create, assign and resolve service requests using Support Application and document details based on work performed to close tickets. Follow up with users to ensure positive call closure. Technicians provide implementation of desktop hardware and printers, user assistance with standard MS Office and office automation application software, and are expected to document work performed and work independently based on guidance provided.


Education/Certifications: High School Diploma or Equivalent

DoD 8570.1 baseline certification and computing environment certificationrequired to start

Background/Years of Experience: 6 years experience in desktop support with computer peripheral support/troubleshooting. Customer Service experience required. Experience using Help Desk software tools required.

Secret Level Government Security Clearance required.

OTHER QUALIFICATIONS Vista and/or Windows 7 Desired Ability to provide telephone, online and face to face technical support to resolve technical desktop issues. Strong oral and written communication. The ability to work well in a team environment. Familiarity with meeting Service Level Agreements (SLA).
