Job Description Manages service delivery and IT support for outsourcing services and/or programs. Leads technical investigations to assist in resolving complex problems. Coordinates activities with other internal departments to meet customer needs.
Guides the provision of scheduling request prioritization to supplier facilities. Identifies and resolves contractual and/or warranty issues and monitors associated costs.
Applies advanced skills to facilitate the resolution of complex problems not covered by existing procedures or independent practices. Displays a high level of critical thinking in bringing successful resolution to high-impact, complex, and/or cross-functional problems.
Demonstrates and applies advanced knowledge of concepts, practices, and procedures of particular area of specialization. Demonstrates significant knowledge of organizations business practices and
issues faced and contributes to problem resolution of those issues. Typically 8-10 years of successful experience in related field within an outsourced/managed services environment and successful demonstration of Key Responsibilities and Knowledge as presented below. Advanced degree MAY be substituted for experience, where applicable.
10+ years progressive experience in enterprise level IT environments.
5+ years demonstrated experience in a leadership role for IT Services Delivery or Technical Services Delivery.
5+ years previous experience in a technical background in one or more disciplines: Windows, Unix/Linux, Backup and Storage, Security, Networks, and Voice/Telecommunications
3+ years previous experience in a technical background in one or more of Security, Data networks and/or Voice Networks & Telecomunications.
Working knowledge of ITIL and ability to conceptually apply to IT service delivery (certification not required, but is a plus).
Demonstrable experience mentoring and leading technical experts, either directly or indirectly.
Must possess demonstrable experience interpreting, improving, and creating business processes in a technical environment.
Proven skills communicating to multiple levels of an organization, including internal, customer, and vendor.
Experience in managing complex IT projects.
Excellent Vendor management and partnering skills.
Able to communicate clearly with peers as well as management.
Self-driven and resourceful to achieve goals independently as well as work well in groups.
Flexibility to adjust to changing requirements, schedules and priorities.
The ability to socialize ideas, make recommendations and gather team consensus to move forward.
Experience working with and/or managing within a virtual team environment is a plus.
Excellent communication, writing, meeting facilitation and presentation skills including Executive level presentation skills
