Greets visitors, handles incoming calls and performs general administrative duties. May assist other administrative staff with overflow work including word processing, data entry and internet research tasks. Must conduct their behavior and tone of voice in a calm, subdued manner which is consistent with a serene environment and spa setting. A receptionist must understand non-routine notes, written instructions and general policy statements. Essential skills and experience: Skill in operating cash register and point of sales system and good oral communications required. Must be able to write short informal notes, or fill out simple forms. Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, correspondence, and memos. Ability to write short correspondence. Ability to effectively present information in one-on one and small group situations to the general public and other employees of the organization.
