The John G. Wood School is seeking a Program Assistant/Lead behavioral specialist to work with children with emotional behaviors. The program assistant will be responsible for addressing behavioral concerns and implementing and monitoring individualized behavioral intervention programs for the vocational program. In addition, the specialist will assist with teaching work readiness skills and have the ability to introduce this information to students/clients in an exciting and engaging manner. The specialist will be responsible for providing transportation to clients using an agency vehicle.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
Required experience, of at least three years, supporting adolescents or young adults who have identified mental health, aggression, substance abuse and/or criminal convictions with case management and/or job coordination. Bachelors’ Degree in Education or a Human Service Field, preferred. Valid Virginia Driver’s License with driving record in good standing.
