We are currently looking for a full time Parent, Family, Community Engagement Manager that will be responsible for strengthening parent, family and community engagement functions to ensure program and services are presented to the community and that relationships are forged and nurtured.
Job duties (essential functions, not intended to be all-inclusive). Under the direction of Supervisor:
Develops comprehensive and integrated programs and initiatives targeted to provide effective interventions and family engagement supports to strengthen families & pregnant women of enrolled children ages birth to five in the Head Start/Early Head Start program.
Provide training and technical assistance to program managers, supervisors and staff to ensure they possess the tools and resources necessary to implement programming initiatives that engage families of enrolled children.
Responsible for coordinating planning, development of policies and procedures, and provide supervisory oversight of the ERSEA (Eligibility, Recruitment, Selection, Enrollment, and Attendance) work of the program.
Oversees all facets of parent involvement, volunteerism, civic engagement and all governance activities of policy committees and standing committees.
Participates in program planning, budget development, and analyzing of community trends.
Co-lead team meetings with the Child Development and Health Managers.
Develop, direct and coordinate the hiring, training, and evaluation of the program’s family and community partnership staff personnel.
Establish and maintain comprehensive and current recordkeeping systems of activities and operational procedures utilizing the ChildPlus Management Information System (MIS).
Conduct research, write reports, assists with grant writing, prepares and deliver presentations.
Develops, coordinates, and monitors the quality of partnership agreements for social services (community action agencies, food banks, employment and training, etc.), mental health and disabilities.
Attends and serves on community coalitions and task forces representing all facets of Catholic Charities Community Services programs and to ensure that the agency’s interests are represented in collaborations of social and human services organizations to develop effective & integrated delivery systems.
Provides and oversees training, technical assistance, and reporting of incidents of child abuse and neglect.
Performs other duties as assigned.
Job Requirements :
Education /Background : Bachelor’s degree in closely related field. Master’s degree preferred. Two years’ experience with management/supervisory duties. Bilingual preferred.
Job Knowledge : Considerable knowledge and understanding of Family and Community Partnerships, Social Services, Head Start, Early Childhood Education School Readiness Goals, Child Welfare system, and managerial requirements; know how to plan, organize, direct, coordinate, train, develop, evaluate staff and parents, and analyze program data; considerable knowledge required of applicable laws, regulations, statutes, and policies related to the effective functioning of Head Start programs.
Must be sensitive to cultural differences within the agency and community. Fluent in Microsoft Office Applications (Word, Excel & Outlook).
Working Conditions/Physical Demands : May be in contact with communicable diseases. Some evening and weekend work required. Position requires being able to participate in activities with children, be on feet 90% of time, able to lift 40 pounds and frequent driving.
Other requirements :
Valid AZ driver’s license, reliable transportation and ability to show proof of registration/insurance
Fingerprint clearance or ability to obtain fingerprint clearance; must maintain clearance.
Must have physical exam upon hire and ongoing periodically as required by policy; negative TB skin Test (or negative chest x-ray); requires first aide, CPR certification. Must be able to meet DHS requirements for licensure.
