Mathnasium (http://www.mathnasium.com/ellicottcity) instructors teach students in grades K through 12, and must be fluent with math including elementary and middle school math, pre-algebra, algebra, geometry, trigonometry and, ideally, calculus and statistics. Candidates must be available to work consistently (at least through June 2013). Paid training is provided.
A degree in math or a related field (e.g. Physics, Engineering etc.). Excellent opportunity for Current / retired teachers. Excellent academic credentials (official transcript must be provided) and obvious passion for mathematics Excellent communication skills, with a sense of humor and an upbeat demeanor An open mind readily able to learn new teaching methods Ability to work well with students of all ages Availability a minimum of two days per week, between the hours of 4pm–8pm (Mon-Thurs), 4pm–8pm (Fri), 10am-2pm (Sat), 1:30pm-5:30pm (Sun).
