Responsible for providing customer focused, efficient and professional patient registration and order entry. Inputs data in computer. Provides real-time on-line scheduling through automation, utilizing defined profiles and resource schedules. Coordinates the scheduling of single and multiple complex procedures, clearing roadblocks to access, where exceptions to the scheduling parameters are needed to provide timely scheduling and excellent customer service. Responsible for the collection and interpretation of physicians' orders, and in obtaining all relevant information related to the registration and order entry process. Updates existing patient system information to ensure accuracy of demographic and insurance data. Obtains pre-authorization when needed from payor. Communicates co-pays and deductibles to patients. Researches information. Responsible for collection of cash at time of service when warranted. Will also cross train to all functions of Patient Access. 7 a.m. - 5:30 p.m.

TEMPORARY POSITION Qualifications: Previous healthcare experience required. Knowledge of medical terminology required upon employment or acquire Medical Terminology Certificate within 6 months of employment. Scheduling experience a plus. Detail orientated, multi tasking abilities. Superior customer service and communication skills in all areas, including telephone. Basic computer skills. Requires judgment/action which ensures optimal patient outcomes.
