Join a Global Leader in Chemical/ Specialty Materials as the Instrumentation/ Controls Engineer for the Reliability Group. Ensure instrument/ electrical/ mechanical technical quality of systems and system designs with a strong focus toward a preventive/predictive maintenance programs. MUST HAVE TECHNICAL EXPERIENCE WITH FIELD INSTRUMENTS TO CONTROL LOOPS THRU DCS in chemical or petrochemical plants. Prepare Reliability Plans for critical process equipment: Preventive Maintenance, Predictive Maintenance, Operator Monitoring, critical repair activities, and Spare Parts management Lead Root Cause Failure Analysis (RCFA) of control loops instrumentation. Partner with Engineering Dept and sites to establish Design Standards and best practices. Insure plant compliance with the Inspection, Testing and Preventive Maintenance standards for OSHA Maintain current with developments in the Fixed Equipment / Rotating Equipment or Instrument / Electrical fields to recommend improvements to current practices. Conduct Site Reliability Assessments. Develop and follow Standard Operating Procedures and Standard Work. Actively support Six Sigma efforts and use company methods to properly solve problems Lead Reliability-focused Failure Modes and Effects Analyses teams where appropriate. Drive continued safety improvement through use of initiatives and the safety process Drive lean initiatives as appropriate to increase productivity and ensure alignment with Operations initiatives. Coordinate Reliability activities on capital projects Interface with Maintenance Planners, Supervisors and Craftsmen Inspect new and repaired equipment, make spare parts recommendations Qualifications: BS Mechanical, Electrical, or Chemical Engineering degree with technical background in chemical, petrochemical, or refining operations 3+ years experience in Instrumentation / Controls/ Electrical Equipment and Rotating Equipment / Fixed Equipment reliability Strong problem solving skills - Failure Mode Effects Analysis(FMEA), Mean Time Before Failure (MTBF) improvements Six Sigma Green Belt Certification desired US Citizen or Permanent Green Card holder
