      Design strategically focused and tactically effective marketing/brand communications solutions for digital/screen and print channels including corporate identity systems, advertising, packaging, direct response, email, newsletters, sales collateral, trade show presence, social media and Web.

      PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: · Design and refine marketing visual communications, campaigns and materials. Develop unique, memorable and compelling creative concepts and campaigns that support business objectives and generate results. · Translate brand positioning strategy into fully integrated print and digital design solutions.
      · Apply technical and conceptual skills to design. Continuously strengthen individual capabilities and stay current with best design practices, information design, comprehensive typography, imagery, color, content creation and visual language systems.
      · Continuously refresh knowledge of the customer experience (and ability to infuse that into visual design communications) via field insights, clinic visits, sales ride-alongs, product demonstrations, trade shows and other research.
      · Support content creation for the Web, leveraging the IDEXX Web style guide and Web and screen design best practices.
      · Critique and improve ideas through final work, developing clear visual hierarchies and ensure the best quality.
      · Assist, develop, and uphold creative standards as established by creative team; maintain ongoing dialogue during creative development with team leaders.
      · Partner with marketing communications to leverage strategic direction into creative concepts.
      · Perform other duties as assigned.
      · Bachelors Degree in Graphic Design, Visual Communications or a related discipline
      EXPERIENCE: · Lead creative teams in concepting, presenting and executing marketing visual communications, materials and campaigns that are on-strategy, support business objectives and generate results.
      · Advocate across IDEXX for best design and visual communications practices.
      · Assist and contribute to developing marketing communications strategy.
      · Strengthen department capabilities and build new ones by training others on procedures and promoting capabilities.
      · Serve as a brand steward by educating, contributing to and upholding the IDEXX graphic and brand standards.
      · Help lead the development of—and maintain—positioning and value propositions for all IDEXX products.
      · Works under minimal supervision on complex projects.
      · Wide latitude for independent judgment.
      · Solve problems independently and assume responsibility.
      · Highly skilled with extensive proficiency.

      · Lead designer on multiple medium and large LOBs.

      · 10+ years related experience.
      REQUIRED SKILLS AND ABILITIES: · Proficient in Mac environment with Adobe Creative Suite, (Bridge, Illustrator, InDesign, PhotoShop, etc.) as well as Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
      · Working knowledge of Dreamweaver, Flash, GoLive, Image Ready and basic HTML a plus
      · Thorough knowledge of print, digital and web production, including medium-specific technical standards, file setup and file formats
      · Solid knowledge of, and interest in, marketing communications, and the appropriate design techniques for different channels
      · Ability to art direct and manage photo-shoots
      · Strong attention to detail; ability to troubleshoot layouts and files efficiently and creatively
      · Ability to internalize customer needs/motivations and design visual communications that generate results
      · Ability to organize, manage details, balance multiple priorities and meet deadlines (or communicate deviations)
      · Ability to work independently, collaboratively, and as part of a team
      · Positive attitude and willingness to take the initiative
