This well-established privately owned 4 pediatrician office wants to employ a new pediatrician first as a locum tenens doctor to cover for the partners' vacations for 8 weeks in the summer of 2013. When the right individual is found, a part-time position of 2 days per week of office work only will be offered, leading to a full-time associateship with a guaranteed salary for the first year. The first full-time year would consist of four days per week in the office, hospital rounds on your own newborns and inpatients, and one in five on call schedule for nights and weekends. The senior partner in the office plans to retire in 2-4 years, and the new pediatrician would assume the patients of the retiring pediatrician. The office has a very congenial atmosphere and a very desirable mixture of insured patients. The geographic location is also very desirable, with ideal weather, cultural and recreational opportunities.
