The Department of Accounting, Finance and Economics has a student work-study opportunity available. The successful candidate will work closely with the Department Academic Assistant and Department Chair to provide support to all faculty and staff members of the Department. Responsibilities include: researching a wide variety of matters; coordinating events; creating semester newsletters; copying; filing; creating spreadsheets; updating databases, and other tasks related to the Department’s activities.
Hours of Work
Hours are flexible and will vary depending on the candidate’s availability and the workload of the Department. The ideal candidate will be able to work 20-25 hours a week, Monday-Friday. Occasional evening hours required as needed for special events.
Candidate must be majoring in one of the programs within the Department of Accounting, Finance and Economics. Candidate must be detail oriented and organized, be able to multitask and work independently, be proficient with Microsoft Office products including Word, Excel, Access and PowerPoint, and possess strong written and oral communication skills. Experience with InDesign software would be ideal but training would be provided if necessary. All candidates must be current Franklin students, and have Federal Work Study eligibility.
