Summary: The Retail Marketing Manager is responsible for the development, management and implementation of marketing strategies to promote Goodwill retail stores, donations of goods and other business services.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned. Manage and develop the marketing strategy to promote all aspects of Tacoma Goodwill retail stores, material donations and other business services. Develop and manage marketing plans, working closely with Marketing Director, retail and operations management and store managers to implement strategies and tactics. Expand shopper base for retail stores by developing and implementing marketing plans to new demographic markets, including youth and multi-cultural audience, through new boutique stores and existing retail locations Expand donor of goods base by developing and implementing marketing plans to specific demographic and geographic markets. Develop potential donation partners throughout territory and implement plans for drives, events, etc. Lead and/or participate in supporting major sales events throughout the year with marketing strategies and tactics Write marketing copy; coordinate branding elements for marketing. Lead and/or participate in marketing, communications and brand projects as a member of the Marketing Communications Department team. Ensure integration and consistency of internal and public marketing, themes and promotions. Craft marketing events, initiatives, themes and messages. Conduct competitive analyses to support the marketing plan. Other duties as assigned.
Education and/or Experience: College degree required. Marketing or Communications degree preferred. Minimum of 8 years experience in retail marketing and communications.
Computer Skills: Computer literacy in Microsoft Word, Excel, Power Point, Access, Publisher and/or other publishing software.
Language Skills: Strong written, verbal and presentation skills required.
Certificates, Licenses, Registrations: Washington State Drivers License.
Physical Demands: While performing the duties of this Job, the employee is regularly required to use hands to finger, handle, or feel and talk or hear. The employee is frequently required to sit. The employee is occasionally required to stand; walk; reach with hands and arms and climb or balance. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 10 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, color vision and ability to adjust focus. Also needs to be able to drive a car to appointments.
Work Environment: The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
