OVERVIEW RED HAT LINUX ENGINEER
This position is viewed as the technical expert that leads server infrastructure projects requiring specialized knowledge.
Under moderate supervision the associate is responsible for understanding both the business and technical requirements for new products that will be engineered and implemented for use by our client’s customers.
This position is responsible for the design, implementation and support of server infrastructure. Also responsible for the coordination of moves, adds and changes for servers.
Responsible for the provisioning of complex server infrastructures.
Additionally, responsible for the update of management information systems, including asset management, time tracking and other systems.
This position is also required to mentor junior level engineers as well as provide third level support for complex issues, problems or projects.
Duties & Responsibilities of REDHAT LINUX ENGINEER
Responsible for working with the different business units to develop the engineering design to support the business and operational requirements for either new systems or enhancements to existing systems. Interacts in a professional manor during the project engagement.
Responsible for the engineering design to meet the business and operational objectives for business continuity solutions.
Responsible for defining standard engineering designs, templates, processes, and procedures for implementing projects that follow existing architectures.
Analyzes system performance, modifying parameters to improve throughput and effectively utilize system resources. Monitors resource usage, making required adjustments.
With administrative direction and assistance from management, leads the evaluation and selection of tools. Sets up product demos, and objectively evaluates tools. Coordinates the collection of feedback from other evaluators. Summarizes the input, makes cost conscience tool recommendations. May be responsible for the effective deployment of tools in the group.
Responsible for accurately estimating and planning activities within the domain to provide the necessary input into the project managers for developing an end to end plan under the direction of the manager or consultant.
Performs other related duties as assigned.
