Location can be NY or CT.
First-line supervisor with primary responsibility for Oncology Sales Professional oversight. Trains, counsels, and oversees the development of new Oncology Sales Professionals. Responsible for achieving assigned regional goals of volume and profitability and for translating all dimensions of regional marketing plans and strategies into effective sales tactics to be carried out by the oncology sales representatives in an assigned district. Typically work cross functionally in developing business plans for their geographies as well as participating in the formulation of national strategy and programs.
*Lead oncology sales team to the achievement of established goals by insuring specific individual and team goals are met and expenses are managed in a fiscally responsible manner.
*Provide leadership and direction to the oncology sales team being overseen and foster an environment of teamwork and cooperation
*Ensure sales reps are conducting their duties in compliance with all applicable laws, regulations, and policies
*Represent company at professional meetings, conventions, and facilitate POAs, launch meetings and district meetings
*Monitors individual operating budgets and ensures team operates within budget
*Ensure full and complete compliance of all selling activities within the area of responsibility to company standards and to all state and federal regulations
*Differentiate performance, provide feedback, and proactively address performance issues
*5 years successful experience as a pharmaceutical sales representative, including 2 years of oncology sales or hospital sales experience
*Strong leadership, team building skills, as well as, excellent communication skills
*Strong organizational and interpersonal skills, and must demonstrate sound judgment and decision making ability
*Broad knowledge of principles and methods in a recognized professional field, or working knowledge of multiple fields
