Represents Major Hospital as the initial contact for any/all Patient Access Services including but not limited to: registration/admission of patients, identify patient and communicate with MedAssist when appropriate, answers and transfers incoming calls, internal and external paging, order entry, and customer service support to the hospital in registration functions. This position may float to various registration sites within the health system.
Position is .5 FTE or approximately 36 hours per pay period. Hours are 7p-7a three days
week (days vary).
Strong computer skills, critical thinking ability, communication and teamwork skills. Able to exercise good judgment in dealing with customers and staff. Previous medical office experience helpful. Familiar with medical terminology helpful.
High School Diploma or equivalent.
