Under the Home Health Nursing/Hospice Supervisor, the registered nurse is responsible for the assessment, planning, implementation, evaluation and documentation for assigned Home Health Care patients. They appraise individual and family health needs and plans for coordinated home health services for clients of all ages. The Home Health Care nurse functions according to the Professional Nursing Law, according to Professional standards, and according to their level of knowledge and experience.
Minimum one to two years med-surg experience is required.
Home health care experience preferred, but not required.
For Specialty Team, two to three years experience is required in area of specialization, i.e., Pediatrics, High-Risk Prenatal, Newborn, Post-Partum, OB/Psych, Oncology, Infusion, Critical Care, Cardiac.
Graduate of an approved School of Nursing; BSN preferred.
Current professional nurse licensure in Pennsylvania or eligible for licensure in Pennsylvania.
Valid driver's license, CPR certification or obtained by completion of introductory period.
Knowledgeable of the professional nursing law and the Standards of Nursing Practice.
