The Registered Nurse position is responsible for providing professional nursing care for patients following established standards and practices on a busy, fast-paced general surgical floor. Assists physicians and staff in coordinating patient care. This unit is a busy, fast-paced general surgical, bariatrics, urology, and spine floor, along with a 4 bed pediatric unit.
Physical Demands:
Sitting, standing, walking, lifting above shoulders/waist level/below knees- max. 35lbs, push/pull- max. 35lbs, carrying- max. 35lbs, balance, stooping/crouching, grasping/writing, finger dexterity/keyboarding, reaching below shoulders, reaching above shoulders, reaching across, rotation standing, bending at waist >45°.
Mental Demands
: Frequent people contact, irregular work schedule, supervisory skills, detailed work, frequent interruptions, decision making skills, concentration, ability to work independent, multiple concurrent tasks, frequent deadlines, organizational skills, ability to work with others.
Job Qualifications:
MN RN License. BSN preferred. Minimum one year current med/surg RN experience in a hospital setting.
Extended orientation may be offered to RN without experience.
