Eaton Corporation’s Electrical Power Distribution Organization, Customer Manufacturing Solution Centers (CMSC) operation is seeking highly promotable, talented individuals to be part of our elite all-salaried workforce. We have an exciting new opening for a Supply Chain Assistant for our Seattle (Auburn), Washington facility. Currently there are 17 Customer Manufacturing Solution Centers and 1 Power Center across the US in major metropolitan cities.
In this role, the incumbent will be responsible for performing functions related to ordering and expediting the material required to meet the production schedule and to manage the inventory to meet the plant’s financial objectives.
Essential functions of this role include:
A. Enter all material orders into the Vista system, AS400, and Mapics
B. Manage orders daily to ensure end product is built, shipped and meets the customer’s expectations
C. Complete the invoicing for all orders shipping on a daily basis
D. Perform stock checks and manage Days on Hand (DOH) in a way that supports profit plan goals
E. Examine open purchase orders daily through various systems and proactively resolve all related issues to ensure timely receipt of the materials required to meet the production schedule
F. Responsible for processing all interunit orders on a daily basis
G. Assist the Customer Service Representative with the management of small orders (i.e. enclosed breakers, retrofit kits, etc.)
H. Responsible for the coordination of payables as needed for the location (Markview processing to include requestor, coding and tax review). Manage returns and handle internal warranty issues from internal and external suppliers.
I. Responsible for daily inventory efforts, including adjustments, stock checks, Kanban changes and performing Kanban charge-outs for internal/external vendors. Lead inventory efforts (with support from CMSC management) for the location; this includes facilitating meetings, distribution of inventory day forms and materials, ensuring compliance with inventory procedures, etc.
J. Process return of non-conforming and excess material in a timely manner
K. Scrap obsolete items after receiving credit and authorization from accounting. Responsible for general office support; first point of contact for customers, distributors, sales, supply chain and internal plant personnel in support of a quality customer service experience.
L. Participate on local site teams as necessary to improve our operation
M. Complete safety goals in order to make our site a safer place to work
