Job Description

Our client has an excellent career opportunity for an Applications Specialist to join their team in their Miami office location. This position will research, test, implement, support and administer assigned applications on an enterprise level.

Responsibilities
Maintain and develop in-house macros, customizations, and tools. Provide Tier 3 Support (subject matter expert) for all team assigned core applications. Conduct product and/or systems analyses / testing and submit recommendations to superiors. Collaborate with clients, other specialists, and system engineers to resolve system / application issues, or to develop or modify workflow improvements. Collect and document user / business requirements for all assigned projects. Draft and prepare all documentation required for assigned projects. Communicate product developments and technical specifications to various audiences throughout the company environment.

Qualifications

Bachelors degree in Computer Science and/or Information Systems or equivalent experience. Expert technical knowledge in all aspects of Microsoft Office 2003. Experience with Microsoft Office 2010 strongly preferred. Microsoft Office User Specialist Certifications a plus. Strong technical knowledge of Microsoft Windows Operating Systems. Proven experience developing and maintaining proprietary solutions written in either VBA, VB.NET, or C# using either Microsoft Visual Studio 2003, 2005, or 2008. VBScripting and Powershell skills a plus. Comfortable working with SQL for application administration and configuration tasks. Strong knowledge and experience working with document management systems, document comparison / metadata applications, and legal macro packages. Autonomy iManage experience a plus. Minimum two years experience in applications testing, configuration, deployment, administration, and support. Familiarity with project management processes with an emphasis on managing multiple projects, assessing priorities, and achieving solutions under deadlines. Ability to take an assignment from inception to completion with minimal supervision or by following broad guidelines with a strong sense of ownership and accountability. Excellent oral and written communication skills and the ability to build effective internal and external client relationships. Law firm experience highly desired.
