Northern Arizona University seeks a dynamic development professional to join our team. NAU is a growing university with all of the features of a large institution, but with a personal touch, with a faculty and staff dedicated to each students success.
The Assistant Director of Development will pursue major gifts ($25,000 or more) from parents and other sources for Parent Leadership Council projects and other university special projects. This position is the staff liaison to the Parent Leadership Council, an active volunteer group with multiple priorities. The Assistant Director of Development plans and directs comprehensive strategies for the identification, cultivation, solicitation and stewardship of gift prospects. This position can be located in either our Flagstaff, AZ or Phoenix, AZ office.

Minimum Qualifications : Bachelor's degree; three years previous experience in development, alumni relations, volunteer management, event planning, sales, marketing, or related field; ability and willingness to travel; valid driver's license required; demonstrated human relations and effective communications skills; experience in a complex organization, and experience recruiting, training, motivating and maintaining relationships with volunteers
