Position is responsible for cardiac ultrasound scanning using two-dimensional, M-mode, spectral doppler and color doppler studies on patients undergoing echocardiographic evaluation for heart disease. Use of Windows-based computerized digital echo system to transfer, manage, and measure echocardiograms. Also responsisble for measurements of carotid intima media thickness and brachial flow mediated vasodilatation in research studies.
Required: At least 2 years of course work in college-level science or health-related field, plus 2 to 4 years experience. Must be a Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer. Basic medical terminology, data entry/retrieval and PC skills required.
Preferred: Previous experience in a hospital setting with direct patient care.
